Furch's new Vintage Series is well represented in this Vintage 2 OM-SR Extra Deep Body, with beautiful silking in it's quarter-sawn AAA grade Sitka spruce top matched with a fine straight grained AAA grade Indian rosewood back and side set. The neck is two-piece, with a "soft V" profile and made with African Mahogany.
Traditional features include the herringbone rosette, purfling, and back strip; Ebony bridge and bridge pins, fingerboard, and headstock overlay; ivoroid body, fingerboard, and headstock binding; the hand brushed finish, producing a vintage patina; and the Gotoh SE700 Gold Patina tuners with a 1:15 gear ratio.
The Vintage 2 OM is a beautiful piece of work that sounds every bit as good as it looks! It's attractive traditional look is complimented by modern production techniques uniquely developed by Furch, including a soundboard voicing process that brings out a crystalline clear, harmonically rich and dynamic, well balanced sound.
Another unique innovation is Furch's CNR neck design, a high precision dual action truss rod that maintains neck stability and allows fine adjustments of the neck relief in both directions. The truss rod is installed in a carbon casing filled with silicone to prevent undesirable vibrations and ensure smooth action.
This guitar is long scale (25.59"), 14 frets to the body, with a nut width of 1.77" and 2.16" string spacing at the saddle.
Comes with a Furch branded Hiscox hard shell case.
