This is the prototype for the new Waterslide/Slusser Guitars ‘S.L.O’ Model. It is a 30” scale baritone guitar that utilizes a standard Tele-sized neck adapted to the longer scale length. Originally utilized by Danelectro in the 50’s with their model 3612, the idea of putting a longer scale length on a standard guitar neck results in less frets but gives you a massive baritone response in an instrument that fits in a standard Tele gig bag or case.
This guitar has been Plek'd and is set up with baritone strings, tuned to Low B. Pickups are Mojo Gold Foils which you can hear in the demo video below.
As this is the prototype for the S.L.O. model, there are some subtle cosmetic differences between this guitar and the upcoming production model, a few extra screw holes under the pickguard which aren't visible with the pickguard installed, etc. It's a prototype so it's one-of-a-kind and being offered for hundreds of $$ less than the production model will be.
The production version of this guitar won't be available for several months and will sell for a higher price, so this will be the only example offered at the listed price.
