Brand New Bourgeois OM Soloist Cutaway, one of the stars of Summer NAMM 2018! This is another in an endless stream of incredible guitars coming out of the world class shop of Dana Bourgeois in Lewiston, Maine. This guitar got a lot of attention at NAMM, and it's not hard to understand why! And if this particular guitar looks a little familiar, it's the same guitar that is featured on the back inside page of the current (October 2018) issue of Acoustic Guitar Magazine under the title "GREAT ACOUSTICS"!
Nearly impossible to take your eyes off of or to put down, this fine piece of craft work is made with a high quality Adirondack top and Paduak back and sides. It is a sweet sounding guitar and remarkably easy to play. There is a high degree of attention to detail in the build of this guitar! Here are some additional features:
*Ziricote body binding. *Multicolor Herringbone back strip. *Maple was used in the body purfling and two rings of the rosette. *The headstock veneer is Brazillian Rosewood. *This guitar was built with Animal Protein (hide) glue. *The bound fretboard and Pyramid bridge are Ebony. *The tuners are open back gold Waverlys with Ebony buttons. *The fretboard inlays are Short Pattern Abalone Slotted Squares and Diamonds. *The Bourgeois headstock logo is Mother of Pearl. *The heel cap is Paduak with a special "Soloist" MOP inlay. *The nut, saddle, and bridge pins (with black dots) are solid bone. *Scale length is long at 25.5", the nut width is 1-3/4", and string spacing at the bridge is 2-5/16th" *Neck finish is Satin.
