Gibson Custom Historic Les Paul 1959 Reissue [2016]

This gorgeous lady comes in a stunning Bourbon Burst VOS finish, with distinctive figure and with a Texas accent. Great colors, subtle graduation, flamed top and an attitude.

Condition is near-mint 9.5 / 10: apart from the VOS specific appearance, it is very clean and glossy, with no major dings, scratches, dents or buckle rash. There are 4 minor imperfections that have been highlighted in one the photos.

The guitar was acquired in September 2018 and has hardly been played, never taken out of the house and well taken care of (lacquered areas have been regularly polished, while the fretboard has been periodically conditioned).

The guitar has a lot of sustain and quite some unplugged resonance.
The neck profile matches the historic C (0.9" at the nut, 1.0" at the 12th fret). Thanks to outstanding fretwork, bending, sliding and vibrato are a cinch. The guitar is currently set up at .07 on treble side and .08 on bass side, at fret 12, but it can be set up with lower action with no fretbuzz. Great playing experience!

The guitar is equipped with a set of Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbuckers and the tone is to die for! Even though there is only one Pearly, these humbuckers nail the tone: PAF-like, yet a bit hotter with a sizzle and squealy pinched harmonics when cranked, sweet when turned down. The pups are also able to be coil tapped because they come with four conductor wire. Make sure to watch the Youtube video for the Les Paul / Pearly Gates combo, which is the closest to what this guitar sounds like.
