1984 Alvarez Yairi "Express" DY-56RB. Rare acoustic/electric hybrid from the Yairi workshop in the mountains of Japan. All electronics work. This is probably the first or second best DY56 I've ever seen for sale. Not quite a case queen but pretty close. Sold with a hard shell case that does not fit the thin-line body perfectly. Guitar will be expertly packaged to protect it during shipping.
From Alvarez-Yairi: "Built for serious musicians who want full natural acoustic tonality that sounds rich and spirited when amplified. Yairi has achieved this by insetting the individual pickup elements in the bridge under the string they serve.
The solid wood backs are arched and curved to increase frequency response and volume. Solid spruce tops have the same high quality parabolic bracing found in the entire Yairi line.
Conveniently located volume and tone controls are carefully matched and graded to the Natural Response pickup to achieve wide tone variation."
