DESCRIPTION:
Small size guitars produce a sparkling tone, a chime, and somewhat of a natural reverberating sustain. In the early to mid 1900's a few guitar manufacturers produced similar size "parlor" guitars. The Li'i is the body width of what was known as a Style 2, and the 'Uku Li'i a Style 5.

All of them can be tuned to standard E A D G B E tuning (preferably with medium gauge strings), however the 'Uku Li'i models are patterned after what was known as a "Terz" guitar, meaning that it's often tuned up three steps, to G C F Bb D G (when tuned up this high, we suggest light gauge strings).
