Up for sale is a beautiful LP style guitar that is loaded with a supreme electronics package. This “Slash” looking baby comes loaded with Seymour Duncan Hot-Rodded SH-2 Jazz (neck) and SH-4 JB (bridge) pickups. These pickups cover absolutely every possible genre by playing either/both and rolling volume up and down. They go from smooth jazz and creamy blues all the way through crunchy rock and raunchy distortion. Both blend very well with effects pedals of all types. The really sweet electronic upgrade is the installation of the Jimmy Page wiring harness, which creates classic Jimmy Page sounds as well as a multitude of other tones. Here’s a description of all the upgrades in this sweet LP:
(SH-4 JB) The archetype hot-rodded humbucker for over 30 years. Great for everything from heavy blues to heavy metal. The world’s most popular humbucker. Provides slammin’ output while retaining singing highs, aggressive harmonics, and just the right blend of sustain and distortion. Goes from sweet warm tones to raw rock ‘n’ roll. Compared to the SH-14 Custom 5, the JB has a stronger treble detail. Some players use it with 250K pots to smooth out the highs. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable. Recommended for bridge position. Often a JB is paired with a neck pickup like the SH-2n Jazz (Seymour’s favorite) for versatility...
(SH-2 Jazz) Provides an articulate and clear tone. Great for fast runs. The brighter tone has slightly less output and is a good match with most bridge pickups. When distorted, the tone is full and bright. Smooth sustain. Compared to the SH-1 ‘59 Model, the Jazz has slightly less output and a more detailed treble response. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable.
(Jimmy Page Wiring) Here is a classic mod to a Les Paul that provides that signature Jimmy Page sound. All four control pots are push/pull. They act as both volume/tone pots and switches. When all four are pushed in, you get the standard Les Paul control and sound. When they are pulled out, here’s what you get:
Bridge Volume: splits the bridge pickup (single-coil)
Neck Volume: splits neck pickup (single-coil)
Bridge Tone: Bridge & Neck pickups out of phase
Neck Tone: Bridge & Neck pickups in series
As you can tell by the pictures and description, not only does it have the classic looks, but it has the classic sounds of a vintage Les Paul (it just doesn’t have the vintage Les Paul price tag). It also comes in the hardshell case pictured to keep it safe and sound while transporting.
