The Martin DX1KAE Acoustic-Electric Guitar is built on Martin's D-14 platform: a dreadnought body for big, round sound. Pairing the Sitka spruce top with koa-pattern HPL back and sides, the DX1KAE guitar belts out rich clarity with plenty of projection. A mortise-and-tennon neck joint ensures solid construction with optimal resonant tone, while eliminating drop-off of finer dynamics. The modified low oval neck shape, 25.4" scale, 1-11/16" nut width, and 16" radius provide comfort and dexterity when performing intricate movements and progressions along the black Richlite fretboard.
