This is a Handmade Postal 12 String Texas Fireball This is a new design and I am very happy with the way it turned out It has a bound Mahogany top made from a single piece of 1/4 inch wood with a hand carved F hole. It has a hand rubbed with stain with a Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish. Instead of constructing this like most semi hollow body guitars I took a single piece of wood and carved out the inside leaving solid section for only the pickup and bridge. The guitar is shaped like a parlor guitar with a cutaway and is a full 3 inches thick. It is the guitar I go to when I get the urge to play a bit and had enough natural volume that I don't feel the need to plug it in (though it does not sound like an acoustic) I have played it with the band both through a Peavey 30 Classic and a acoustic amp and it sounds great through both. The neck is from a 1960's EKO Ranger. The neck is very solid being a Mahogany/Maple/Mahogany lamination. It is 1 3/4 at the nut. I was unsure how it would play but the action is low and easy. The rest of the guitar is road worn to match the neck with some scratches, dings and finish irregularities, but just enough to make it work. The neck pickup is a Kent Armstrong PAF. The neck is a 25 1/2 scale with gold Grover tuners. It does not come with a case.
