About This Listing

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a beautifully hand crafted guitar by master guitar builder Joseph Jesselli. He started out his career with master wood carver Marcos Baiter learner old world craftsmanship and carving. When he made his first guitar body he went to Jimmy D'Aquisto's shop asking him to tech him how to make a guitar neck. Upon seeing Jesselli's work D'Aquisto hired him to be his right hand man. after close to 10 years working with D'Aquisto Jesselli struck out on his own to create his own instruments.
Shortly after  Jesselli managed to meet Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. After playing the guitar for a bit Keith asked Jesselli "do you know what its is?" referring to the guitar, Jesselli responded no and Keith replied "MINE" that guitar is still in use by keith spotted in recent recordings and the only non fender/gibson spotted in his Rolling Stones rehearsal rig!
When Jesselli's Museum grade instruments come out in the next year this guitar will look like a steal!
There is one small ding on the back that doesn't break through the paint.
Here is an article on Jesselli by the New York Times:

Below are the full details regarding his latest guitar creation:

Neck

Quarter sawn rock maple neck with a select Indian rosewood fingerboard; complete with special Jesselli treatment that helps protect the fingerboard from grime build up. Rosewood claimed from a single piece of rosewood.

Tuning Machines

Hipshot with custom-made brass machine heads, each tuning machine is engraved, triple gold-plated and embellished with leather.

Pickups

Custom-wound with leather covers, the neck pickup features gold-plated alnico pole pieces.

Pickup Rings

Custom-designed with an art deco pattern and triple gold-plated with centers made of horn.

Screws

Triple gold-plated machine screws with a hex head, underneath each you’ll find an inlay with a tapped piece of brass. Tools are provided for the screws.

Bridge

Set in place and intonated, the bridge is made of Indian rosewood with individual bone saddles. The height screws are set deep into the body to improve tone and sustain.

Tailpiece

The tailpiece features an art deco design and is also crafted with Indian rosewood from the same billet as the fingerboard, headpiece and bridge.

Body

The body is crafted with hand-selected cherry wood based on weight, straight grain, and tone because it responds like a stiffer variant of mahogany. The guitar weighs approximately 6.75 lbs.

Strap Buttons

Complete with recessed Dunlop strap locks, the lower bout has a custom rosewood piece to bring the strap button to the appropriate angle.

Knobs

Volume and tone are made from Indian rosewood with mastodon ivory art deco pointers. The 5-way switch has a hand-carved and patina bone switch tip.

Inlays

Inlays boast a celluloid ivory pattern with two straight and center end grain pieces.

Binding
Jesselli has created a stepped binding to give a wider E to E spacing on a similar size neck and a smoother feel to the frets.

Frets
Rounded at the ends, each fret is exclusively crafted with bronze, bearing-grade material that is no longer made. Completely self-lubricating, it is much harder than nickel silver frets and not as brittle as stainless steel frets.

Electronics

Master volume and master tone with a push/pull to cut ultra-high notes and a 5-way switch with the following positions:

·     Neck

·     Both Pickups in Series

·     Both Pickups in Parallel

·     Bridge In 1/2 Cocked Wah with No Tone

·     Bridge

Finish

The Crème Brûlée finish is painted in faux wood colors.

Strap

A hand crafted strap Jesselli made for the guitar.

Tools

Each guitar also comes with a custom-made tool kit for the hex head screws.
