This listing is for a
Galaxy Mara "Duhb Beetle Pine Top". The Duhb is in reference to the ergonomic shape that resembles a "W". The main benefits of the shape is it is comfortable to play both while sitting and standing. It has very good strap balance. You can see this in the last few pictures of this listing. I try to keep my designs fresh and not to copy anything. I feel this instrument accomplishes this well. The headstock design is also unique. The guitar is light weight with a variety of tones.
This particular instrument has a number of unique features. The top is carved Denim Beetle pine. Whats that? If you live in an area with pine trees and some are red and different looking, those are trees that have been attacked by pine beetles. They are essentially dead trees. It is called Denim because it has a light blue stain through the grain. The top is carved but left rough where the knots and defects of the wood are seen and felt.
This guitar was loaned to a touring band and the guitarist was enjoying it in the moment and threw it 10 feet in the air. It landed on the lower left bout, bounce off the stage and back into the guitar players hands. So there is a dent there, as seen in the last picture. It shows how strong neck thru body is as aside from the compression dent, nothing happened to the instrument. The dent tells a story so rather than restore it, I chose to leave it as its part of the guitars character.
