Beautifully hand-crafted instrument: a pre-owned Equator "Mini" model hollow-body guitar made by luthier David Coleman down in Ecuador. These guitars are modeled after the Languedoc guitars played by Trey Anastasio of Phish. However, they're not $10K with a 15 year waiting list! Incredible sounding guitar with beautiful craftsmanship.
Full hollow body. Natural finish to the outstanding pieces of koa used for the top. Back is done in a gorgeous blonde, flamed maple. Sides are mascare wood. 24-fret mahogany neck with ebony fretboard. Neck plays FAST. Multi-ply body and F-hole binding with single-ply neck and headstock binding. Hand carved ebony tailpiece and floating bridge. Bone nut and saddles, and ebony knobs. Inlays are mother-of-pearl. The "aum" logo on the headstock are done in abalone as a custom add-on. Body is 14 11/16" length, 12 14/16" max width, 2.25" depth. Scale is 25.5". Feels like a thick, light, slightly-offset, Strat Weight is 6.375 lbs The balance is body/neck neutral
Electronic: Pickups have been changed recently. Currently have Seymour Duncan 59 set zebra with logo in. Wired for coil split and master series.
This guitar is in great condition, never abused and is a case queen!The hollow body allows the guitar to be enjoyed acoustically if you're playing on the couch, but it also adds to the fullness of the humbuckers when the guitar is plugged in. Neck is cleaned after every session and has a recent polish. The frets are in very good shape, barely any wear on them. They were polished with steel wool in the last 4 months.
