2011 Fender MIM Blacktop refinished in a beautiful aged Sonic Blue nitrocellulose by yours truly. The aged top coat gives it an almost seafoam look. The guitar has been very lightly distressed to initiate weather checking.
The stock tuners have been upgraded to aged nickel vintage kluson type tuners.
The factory stop or tailpiece holes have been filled and a modified Bigsby installed.
Also upgraded with new 500k pots and a Orange Drop Cap plus aged nickel barrel knobs.
This guitar plays like a charm! If you love the looks and feel of a vintage jaguar and the warm tones and drive of a les Paul, this is your guitar. This guitar is truly fun to play. It outplays guitars that I have owned that were 6x the price, no lie! It rings like a bell and feels like a buzz saw. It feels like the notes are ready and available. This little baby really surprised me. Sometimes higher prices don't equate to higher value. Then throw in the killer 100% vintage grade nitrocellulose with authentic weather checking. Its everything you want in a guitar.
The pickups are nice and hot. I usually roll the volume back for the clean tones then I crank them up to 10 when I want that Rawk sound. They sound clean and crisp at 10 as well. In my opinion it is better to have and not need, then need and not have. I am very happy with the stock pickups.
