2008 OVATION 2178 ULTRA + HARD SHELL CASE
EXCELLENT PLAYING, GREAT SOUNDING GUITAR
Excetionally nice acoustic - electric Ovation 2178 Ultra in Black Cherry Burst with the correct Ovation hardshell case. Built in 2008 this jewel is perfect in every way except for a small finish crack behind the bridge. Incredibly buttery action, gorgeous, smooth playing 5 piece mahogany / maple neck w/ a rosewood fingerboard, tight, straight grained top, this baby is at home on the sofa or the stage. Robust acoustic sound courtesy of the deep GS contoured body, the cutaway allows full access to the upper register. Feedback resistant pickup design w/ an integrated pre amp w/ a built in tuner & astounding visual appeal, this beauty’s ‘stage presence’ make it the ideal gig guitar. If you think I’m being a bit hyperbolic, Google ‘Ovation 2178 Ultra’ & read the reviews. Includes case key, truss rod wrench, original Ovation paperwork & a new set of strings. Case exterior has some light scuffing, interior is pristine…. Selling because the hacienda needs siding.

The Ovation 2178 Ultra guitar features a cutaway body style, a AA Solid Sitka spruce top on a deep contour body, scalloped LX bracing, a 5 piece neck with a "soft V" profile, 5-piece exotic hardwood soundhole rosette, and a walnut bridge.
The Ovation Ultra acoustic-electric guitar uses subassemblies made at our offshore Ovation factory. The subassemblies are shipped to New Hartford, CT where Ovation's team of skilled craftsmen carry out the final assembly and setup operations. The 2178 has an OP-Pro preamp system that was developed to work specifically with the unique Ovation Patented Pickup. This professional grade system has been engineered to complement the unique character of Ovation guitars. The OP-Pro includes a 3-band EQ and a built-in tuner.
