I bought this awesome Washburn USA N4 new around four years ago from new old stock (NOS). While I love the guitar, and I'll always be a fan of Nuno, I've found that my style has changed over the years and I long for different types of guitars, so the N4 must go to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.
If you're looking for one of these guitars, then you likely already know the history and the details. For those who might not, this is a 2006 Washburn USA N4E-SA Nuno Bettencourt Signature guitar. It is a rock/metal machine, with superb playability and great rock tone, although it is also quite versatile in styles it can cover as often demonstrated by it's namesake, Nuno Bettencourt.
The guitar is in just about perfect condition, and doesn't look much different than the day I bought it. No nicks, dings or scratches to speak of. One upgrade I made was to replace the original Bill Lawrence USA L-500XL bridge pickup with a "real deal" Wilde "Bill and Becky" L-500XL that I ordered new from Becky herself. I'm including the original Bill Lawrence USA pickup with the guitar as well, so the new owner can decide which they prefer. The neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan '59, which provides good balance with the L-500XL. The tones of the N4-ESA are bright, articulate, and woody with a percussive attack. Perfect for aggressive players.
The guitar has a superb feel, with a thin neck profile that is highly accessible all the way up to the top fret thanks to the innovative Stephen's Extended Cutaway. This neck joint was invented by Stephen Davies, who developed and built the first N4s back in the early 90s. See the photos to see what this neck joint is all about.
The N4 also features the Buzz Feiten tuning system, which has a compensated nut and bridge design that improves intonation and smooths out the imperfections in the western tempered scale. This makes this guitar sound even that much sweeter.

The buyer of this guitar will be getting a practically new guitar. It has only been played lightly in my home studio environment, which is humidity controlled to guarantee that my guitars stay properly hydrated and stable. The case has a few scuffs/scratches, but nothing major.
