Are you looking for one of the most versitile amplifiers to have ever hit the market? With the ability to have glistening jazz leads/comping or pumped up all the way to 11 to have the most guttural sludgy distortion ever produced; the Mesa Boogie Quad Preamp is unmatched by any competitor.
This tectonic plate shifting piece of machinery has two completely separate mesa boogie preamps in a 3 rack space, sharing one input. The first channel is almost the same as the boogie studio pre once the controls are pulled and it is based on the Mark IIC preamp section. The second channel is based on the Mark III (no stripe/black dot) preamp section. I've used this same model Quad Preamp for many years touring and playing shows in every sort of venue. No matter the venue these amps in combination can be dialed back or dialed up to preform to any players desires. I've kept this one at the home studio since day one after initally purchasing it from my first guitar teacher and am the very proud second owner. I've had it since I was 13(13 years ago).
It has been serviced by the best of the best at Dave's Sound Repair in Whippany, NJ. They are beyond qualified to work on any major amp/electrical board they can get their hands on. Not only do I have this incredible preamp but I also have its perfectly paired Stereo Simul-Class 295 Power Amp. This is the type of power amp that will leave you weak in the knees after running the Quad Preamp through it. My favorite function of this Power Amp is that it can act as a power attenuator and help to mold your tone to whatever your heart desires.
