For sale we have a great vintage combo ready for any Harmony enthusiast's collection!
The guitar is a Holiday Bobkat H17V from about the mid to late 1960's. This is a Harmony produced guitar that was sold through Alden's mail order catalogs in Chicago. This beauty even has the original hang tag still attached on the head stock! Along with it we have an original Holiday Model 204 Amplifier. Original case included.
The condition of the guitar is good to very good for a 50+ year old guitar. The finish looks great on the front and back. The sides haves some dings and chips with the most significant ding being on the top side waist (visible in photos). The neck has indentations on the back from either being rested against an edge or those old school capos. The pickups both work, however the bridge pickups output is lower than the neck pickups. All the controls work. The guitars overall play-ability is good and this instrument functions as intended.
The amplifiers condition seems all original right down to the tubes. That being said, it is functional but does have old tube noises and hiss. It would need some servicing to make it a truly usable amp.
The case looks period correct and original to the guitar. There is a leather patch repair near the handle.
Call with any questions. Thanks!
