The Late Al Caiola owned many guitars, but one of his favorites is shown here and is in our possession. It was purchased by a New Jersey based musician from Al during Mr. Caiola's retirement. Please see the letters below written by Mr. Caiola to the present owner. The label is shown in the body cavity with Al's attempt to scribble his initials for ownership identification= "AEC". This guitar was used to play many many tour dates as well as on the recording of the Bonanza theme song, and the theme from the Magnificent Seven. At the present time we are having the piece evaluated by major auction houses to arrive at an asking price. For now any inquiries may be made by way of the contact button on the home page. Any one having photo of Al playing this guitar it would very appreciated to have them emailed to us. Thank you. Please scroll down to see 75 photos of the documentation as well as the guitar. It plays like butter and was left as Al left it.
As an update we have had the guitar appraised at between 8 and 12 thousand dollars by several auction houses. The guitar will be for sale here for about a month before going to a major auction house in New York.
