Herrnsdorf Universa 1953 pearloid

Very interesting guitar hybrid from the early days of electric guitar production in the Ex GDR (German Democratic Republic). This model was dubbed Universa with the intention to play it either in lapsteel or usual electric guitar style... 

The size is somewhat like a lapsteel, but you can also strap on the guitar and play as usual. It is fitted with a Rellog Gitona pickup in the neck.

Very rare, even in Germany!
