Lloyd Loar completely transformed the world of string instrument manufacturing and design while working for Gibson in the early 1900s. He had the foresight to realize the importance of electrifying an instrument much earlier than most. When he started his own line of Vivitone instruments, he had the freedom to experiment and develop some very unique and advanced designs. This Vivitone guitar beautifully exhibits some of the innovator's unusual design appointments such us the under-bridge top holes, recessed back, and rear f-holes.
